The Brazilian crew of Juliana Dugue with Bruna Patricio as crew, are the new snipe world champions. And they did it in style by winning the last race and further distancing themselves from the runners-up, the Lithuanian Gintare Scheidt and Maj Hansen Borgen.  This is Juliana's second Women's World title win.

The Spanish crew composed of Martina and Patricia Reino has managed to climb to the third place on the podium after finishing second in the last regatta.

This World Cup championship was held for the first time in Valencian waters. In the regatta, which was co-organized by Valencia Mar and T10 Sailing Club, a total of 43 boats of nationalities from all over the world competed. Athletes from Argentina, Belgium, Brazil, the United States, Chile, Finland, Japan, France, Great Britain, Lithuania, Portugal and Spain have fought in Valencia to win the world title.

The Snipe class welcomes women sailors to the World Championship hosted by Club de Vela Valencia Mar and T10 Sailing Club in Valencia, Spain in October 3-8, 2023.

A HUGE congratulations to Juliana Duque and Mila Beckerath (BRA) as the new 2021 Women's World Champions! They sailed a near perfect regatta posting a 2-2- followed by 6 1st places to have a low score of 8 points. 40 teams representing 6 nations competed in this year's event, moved from 2020 to 2021 after the delay due to the pandemic. 2nd place was Marija Andela de Micheli Vitturi (CRO) & Maj Kristin Hansen Borgen (NOR) - a team who had not sailed together prior, but seemed to gel as a team to be second overall. Finishing up the podium was Martha Rocha and Larissa Juk (BRA). Paola Prada and the organizing team should be congratulated for an excellent event. Lots of sponsors, lots of fun and lots of volunteers.
